Atlantic Quality Design introduces Guitar Pickup Tone Database

An new database of guitar pickup info has been created to allow guitarists to compare the sound of pickups from various manufacturers. This FREE web tool displays frequency response plots of each pickup, and plays a reference audio clip through the pickup response to demonstrate what it sounds like under numerous cable and loading conditions. This lets the user hear differences between pickups, aiding pickup selection.

The website is also loaded with information on the factors that affect pickup tone. More pickups are being added to the database, and pickup manufacturers can have their pickups tested and included for free.
