Online video lessons from KT Tunstall, Blur, Magic Numbers

NowPlayIt is a new music lesson website with a difference: the actual artist of the song teaches you how to play it. Though there isn't a huge selection at the moment, you can already start learning from the likes of KT Tunstall, Gaz Coombes (Supergrass), Alex James (Blur) and Michele Stodart (The Magic Numbers).

In addition to the artist produced lessons, NowPlayIt also features in house tutors as well as lite, visual based lessons.

The full artist and in house lessons are split into three parts:

The Lesson is a 1 on 1 tutorial with an artist or tutor. Each one is shot in a unique location, be it at the artists house, studio or backstage on tour and run for about 15 - 25mins. They guide the user through how to play every aspect of the song, from chords, techniques and/or equipment used.

The Recap (only for guitar lessons) gives the user an overview of all the chords used.

The final part, The Play Through, features the original promo video (or approved photos where a video doesn't exist) for the song with tabbed versions of the chords overlaid on it.

Full lesson downloads cost around £3.99, and are available in Windows Media full screen and portable, iPod Video, MPG4, and PSP formats.

I think NowPlayIt is definitely worth a look: http://www.nowplayit.com/
