Orange Amplification recreates its iconic 60s logo
Orange amps, as part of their 40th anniversary in 2008 have re-created their iconic Orange Psychedelic logo from their original new Compton Street shop front. This is the first time the logo has been used in any form since the shop closed in 1973.
Company founder and Chairman, Cliff Cooper had from the start seen Orange amps as young colourful and bold. The now famous brightly coloured Orange picture-frame design cabinets first appeared in late 1968 and amounted to a revolution in amplifier styling. The shop front also reflected the psychedelic era with its flower power styling and unique hand-painted Orange logo using kaleidoscope swirling patterns, rich colours and elaborate lettering.

Musicians like Paul Kossoff (Free), Marc Bolan (T Rex) or John McVie (Fleetwood Mac) and Eric Clapton were regulars customers of the Orange shop back in 1968 and today the company continue to work with the world's greatest musicians.
Orange are proud to have painstakingly re-created the original Orange shop logo down to the finest detail and will be using this commemorative logo throughout their anniversary year including launching a limited edition T-shirt.
