MXR unveils the Custom Badass Modified overdrive pedal, having a classic overdrive circuit with modern modifications for improved versatility and performance.
MXR introduced the Custom Badass line last year, it is a series of effects that use classic circuits tweaked to deliver a wider tonal spectrum.
The Custom Badass Modified Overdrive applies the same principle to its design. It aims to get authentic overdrive sounds with modern versatility and range. MXR modded the classic overdrive circuit to produce tonal varieties.
MXR put in the Bump switch which engages an alternative EQ voicing that boosts the mids and lows. MXR also added a 100HZ cut and boost control that allows for better EQ and a meatier tone when boosted.
