MXR M84 Bass Fuzz Deluxe

MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe is a fuzz pedal for bass guitar that deliver vintage fuzz sounds while retaining your dry tone.

Bass Fuzz Deluxe

The guys at MXR dug up a rare vintage fuzz pedal and modified it for bassists, the result is a fuzz pedal with a separate dry and wet knob control.

MXR wanted to design a bass fuzz pedal that is affordable, cool sounding and addresses many of the needs of modern bassists. So they got a vintage fuzz circuit that had a ton of low end and gave it the MXR Phase 90 footprint and made it quieter.

They also added in the Bass Fuzz Deluxe unique feature – separate wet and dry volume control knob – so you can keep your original low end as much as you need it.

Bass Fuzz Deluxe gives you a separate dry and wet level knob which makes it seem that you have a clean and a fuzz signal playing simultaneously. You can then blend the wet and dry signal to your preference. You can adjust it to subtle hairiness or go all out with full on raging fuzz. The Fuzz and Tone controls affect the wet signal and allows you to adjust basic tone.

Features:

  • Vintage fuzz circuit modified for the modern bassist

  • Separate Dry/Wet controls for many tonal variations

  • Retains punch and clarity of bass frequencies

  • 100% analog circuitry

  • True Hardwire Bypass

  • Powered by 9V battery or power supply (not included)
