Naga Viper Boost by Catalinbread

The Naga Viper Boost , named after the hottest chili pepper in the world, is a booster effects pedal.

When a rookie guitar player joins a band, especially those playing rock style tunes, the first thing that he will notice is how little of his fat, perfect guitar tone cuts through the band noise. Countless guitar players have experienced this problem, and knowing how hard it is to respectfully ask the loud drummer to pull back on his strikes, or the seemingly deaf bass player to cut back on his volume, guitar players opted to use a nifty gadget to help get the spotlight back – the guitar treble booster, or simply the booster pedal! And so we await the rescue of Catalibread’s Naga Viper Boost.

So what is the difference between the common booster and the Naga Viper Boost? The Naga Viper is indeed a booster pedal like the others, in the tradition of the treble boosters of Dallas Rangemaster. But the Naga Viper has the addition of two extra knobs, Heat and Range. The Range knob will allow the user to switch from the classic Brian May treble booster into a full range booster, or anywhere in between. The Heat knob on the other hand allows users to control gain, so you won’t be limited to the Brian May sound, in which basic boosters’ gain are always set to maximum.

Finally the Naga Viper say their designers had the modern era in mind, they voiced the Naga Viper to match the distortion coming from our beloved stomp boxes or effects.

The Naga Viper Boost is scheduled for a September 6, 2011 release. For further information check the official Catalinbread website.
