TonePrints are pre-set configurations for TC Electronic guitar pedals, which you can save, upload, and download.
You may recall that TC Electronic launched a new range of pedals earlier this year at Winter NAMM with a feature that allows you to connect them via USB to your computer for uploading and download ‘TonePrints’.
Today TC Electronic have announced a free collection of 30 TonePrints they have named the ‘Bundle’ which you can download and use on TonePrint enabled pedals: Hall of Fame Reverb , Flashback Delay, Corona Chorus, Shaker Vibrato, and Vortex Flanger.
The artists and producers behind this special bundle are: Audley Freed, Brian Nutter, Dann Huff, Jerry McPherson, Keith Gattis, Michael Britt, Pat Buchanan and Reeves Gabrels. Surely, Nashville is often associated with the Country music scene, but these players and producers have excelled in Country as well as a wide variety of other musical genres – no limits, it’s all music. Some of the artists that these guys have worked with over the years include: Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks, Michael Bolton, Dwight Yoakam, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Gavin DeGraw, Peter Frampton, The Black Crowes, Lenny Kravitz, Amy Grant, Lonestar and David Bowie.
When creating a personal TonePrint, the artist actually gains access to a wealth of additional effect parameters that go way beyond what is tweakable via the pedal knobs. Therefore, a TonePrint can change the fundamental sound of the pedal dramatically as it is not just a matter of storing the physical knob settings – in fact, it is more like getting a whole new, customized signature pedal, but at the same time having the ultimate power to change whose signature is on it.
