DigiTech introduces the JamMan Express XT, a space-saving looper pedal with 10 minutes of looping time.

DigiTech JamMan Express XT

This new looper pedal is designed to fit pedalboards that are already crowded, while having essential looping features.

The JamMan Express XT may be the most full-featured compact looper available in the market, featuring true-stereo looping, 10 minutes of looping time and synchronization.

10 minutes of looping is more than enough for typical use. For a compact pedal, it is quite impressive that the JamMan Express XT is has a memory that can carry two songs worth of recording. This pedal is also capable of unlimited overdubs, broadening the possibilities even further.

Being compact, the pedal's interface has limited space for controls, which means you can not make as much tweaks as bigger pedals. However, the good side about this is that the controls are intuitive and straightforward, making it easy to setup. The pedal can let you record, play, stop, undo, and it gives you unlimited overdubs. There is also a dedicated LED per status to give you discrete but useful visual feedback.

If you are into utilizing multiple looping pedals, the Express XT comes with JamSync for automatic syncronization with another Express XT or JamMan Solo XT pedals. By chaining multiple looper pedals, you are provided with even more looping tools while still being perfectly synchronized. You can use JamSync to build a custom multi-track looper or create synchronized loops with your band mates.

Aside from being compact, the JamMan Express XT will also compete against other affordable loopers. It has a suggested retail price of just $99.95, and comes with bundled with a 9V battery so you can use it immediately out of the box.
