The H9 is the latest compact multi-effect stompbox from Eventide, featuring multiple Eventide effects and iOS connectivity.
This multi-effect unit features a surprisingly simple one-knob interface, with deep controls done wirelessly via your iPod, iPhone or iPad.
The H9 Harmonizer essentially brings together all the popular Eventide effects in one compact pedal. It lets you have Eventide quality Reverb, Chorus, Delay and Harmonization in a mobile unit that is easy to integrate into pedalboards. It also carries its own unique effect labeled as UltraTap Delay.
The unit itself may seem simplistic, it feature intuitive controls that consist of a knob for accessing the various effects and settings, a tap tempo switch and an engage/disengage switch. Hidden inside the unit however is a pedalboard’s worth of modulation and time based effects, which can free up your valuable rig space, while providing Eventide quality effects.
Aside from the straightforward controls found on the pedal, an alternative way of controlling the unit is by connecting it wirelessly to your iOS device. You can easily download a free app called H9 control, which allows you to create and manage presets in real-time on your smart phone or tablet, which makes setting up and making adjustments even more convenient. A Mac OS X editor/librarian software is also available for connecting the unit directly to your computer.

The H9 Control app also lets you expand the functionality of the H9 via in-app purchases. All of Eventide’s algorithms and presets are available for purchase within the app. Other features of this pedal include stereo audio I/O, MIDI I/O, expression pedal, tuner, and auxiliary switch inputs.
