The new PBmini has a small foot print size that is no bigger than an average credit card and weighs only 4.5 ounces, making it very easy to fit into any pedalboard and convenient to carry around.

Korg’s Pitchblack tuner made waves when it was first released because of its great looking LED interface which provides great visibility even on dark stages. In addition to that, its reliability and durability helped it grab precious pedalboard space world over.

But since pedalboard real estate is quickly become a scarce commodity, guitarists now prefer their pedals to be as compact as possible. To respond to this growing need for smaller pedals, Korg took the Pitchblack design a step further by making it more compact, and did so without compromising accuracy, visibility and reliability.

As always, the most important feature of a tuner is its accuracy, and so Korg equipped the PBmini with the same high precision tuning as found on the bigger Pitchblack pedal, derived from the company’s 50 year experience of developing tuners. And this accuracy is paired with a large LED display that is easy to see and look at regardless of where and what time you’re playing.

To ensure excellent visibility, the display features a 7-segment color LED, with a smooth moving meter that indicates the note. There are 3 different display modes to choose from, first of which is the Regular mode which offers the most basic and fastest tuning, while the strobe and half-strobe mode provide more accuracy. In strobe mode, the direction and speed of meter movement indicate the pitch change for easier visualization. In strobe mode, it is said that the Pitchblack allows for very accurate tuning with ±00.1 cent accuracy. Be it day time or night time, the display area lets you clearly see the pitch changes as you tune your guitar.

Another important feature of the Korg Pitchblack Mini is the ability to be powered by battery or DC power, making it easy to setup, even when power outlets are not sufficient. Check out the official video demo:

Korg Brand Manager for Guitar Products Brian Piccolo concludes, “Korg’s Pitchblack pedal tuners have earned the trust of guitarists and bassists worldwide for their quality, design and durability. When players are looking for a new pedal tuner for their board, compactness, light weight, and convenience are important, but often they’re a trade-off with stability. Other small units tend to turn over more easily when placed on the floor, however, the Pitchblack mini addressed those concerns and is equipped with slide-type stabilizers on the underside of the body, eliminating this apprehension.”

The new Korg Pitchblack Mini Tuner has a list price of $69.99, visit Korg for further details.
