This delay pedal features 6 NOS Panasonic Bucket Brigade chips that provide over 1.2 seconds of analog delay time.
Guitarsite actually named the predecessor to this pedal as the best analog delay pedal in the market, so seeing this new release will mean that we may have to update our list in the future. This version is called "Super Delay" while the original one just had the "Analog Delay" label.
Moog Music Chief Engineer Cyril Lance provided the story behind this pedal, "In 2005, we released the MF-104SD, of which only 250 units were ever produced. The new MF-104M Super Delay utilizes the identical vintage Bucket Brigade chips found in the classic MF-104SD, faithfully delivering a vintage grittiness that's extremely musical."
This new pedal carries over all of the features found in the original MF-104M delay. It has 6 Waveshape LFO, Spillover mode and Tap Tempo for LFO rate and delat time. MIDI control of all the features of the pedal is also possible like the original pedal, and it has the traditional short/long delay switch that gives you 50ms-600ms trails, and 100ms-1200ms trails.
Instead of just duplicating the original pedal, Moog improved on the power supply, bias and rail generating circuit. According to the company, this helped reduce unwanted microphonics and improve sonic quality. Another distinct feature of the MF-104M is the addition of an Emphasis/De-Emphasis circuit, which is said to help reduce noise.
Moog utilized the same delay-loop level matching circuitry used on their 500 Series analog delay, resulting in improved mix and feedback stability. CV/Expression inputs are available for real-time external control of Rate, Time, Amount, Feedback and Mix. There is also a delay feedback insert for adding external effects to the delay signal.

Following the design of other Moogerfooger pedals, the MF-104M Super Delay features a rugged metal chassis with wooded sides. It is now currently selling for $799. More information is available at Moog Music.
