Pigtronix Gatekeeper Noise Gate Pedal

Pigtronix introduces the new Gatekeeper, a studio quality noise gate pedal that features fast J-FET circuitry.

This pedal is said to have the same capabilities as rackmount noise gate effects, providing 100% attenuation with quick response time for more efficient noise reduction.

The Gatekeeper features a J-FET circuitry that is said to eliminate the common noise problems that guitarists encounter, it zeroes in on all the hiss, buzz, hum and other non-musical sounds on your guitar signal and takes them out.

It comes with a wide range threshold control and high headroom, which Pigtronix claims will let the pedal “deliver smooth transient response and warp speed time constants previously available only in rackmount, studio oriented noise gate processors.”

Pigtronix improved the pedal’s performance to provide impressive musical gating for extreme applications like high speed guitar playing in metal. The release knob gives you control the time it takes for the gates to shut, giving you deep control over the way the effect behaves.

With the new Gatekeeper, you can crank the volume without worrying about the typical noise problems that high-gain rigs regularly deal with. When engaged, the pedal will remove the 60-cycle hum or white noise, and everything else that you don’t want to hear as soon as you stop playing.

The Pigtronix Gatekeeper pedal comes with an army green graphic and features true bypass switching. The pedal will be on display at the upcoming 2013 Summer NAMM show in booth 950.

The manufacturer suggested price for the Pigtronix Gatekeeper is $149. For more information, visit Pigtronix.
