The updated pedals come with improved performance and incorporates some of the most requested features by customers.

Said to be the result of hours of listening, testing and modifications, the new Riot Reloaded and Shiba Drive Reloaded features modified circuits that allow them to be more amp-like, more aggressive and have more gain. Aesthetic improvements were also introduced with new spiral faced enclosures, saturated colors and translucent knobs.

Suhr Shiba Drive Reloaded

This pedal was first introduced in July of 2009, a straightforward pedal that provides flexible overdriven tones, catching the attention of many players. Now four years after its initial release, Suhr announces that they have tweaked the Shiba Drive to have more focused mids and tighter low-end frequencies. They were able to achieve this by fine tuning the pedal’s gain stage to increase the saturation and upper harmonics. Aside from being more responsive, the new version also comes with over 50% more gain than the original.

The upgraded circuitry is now housed inside an anodized box that retains the original’s compact profile. The translucent knobs allow the deep saturated blue finish to pass through, giving the pedal a futuristic clean look.

Riot Reloaded

Suhr Riot Reloaded

First shipped in 2009, the Riot became Suhr’s most popular effects pedal, thanks to the pedal’s classic distortion tone, which was received great reviews. Now Suhr is adding more riot to the Riot with improved saturation and upper harmonics, 30% more gain, improved sound and clarity – based on a modded overdrive channel of an amplifier. This extra gain allows the pedal to cross over into modern high-gain territory, now also ideal for metal and drop tuning style tones.

The tone control circuitry was also modified to emphasize the upper mids better, which will let you adjust the tone knob for a cleaner but still cutting tone, without sounding harsh or fatiguing. Like the Shiba Drive Reloaded, the new Riot Reloaded pedal comes with translucent knobs on a spiral faced enclosure. Its distinct purple color is now more saturated, making the Riot as eye catching as it is ear friendly.
