Agile Partners, the developer of the AmpKit app, has joined forces with Fargen and Sonic Edge.
Fargen’s distinctive tube amplifier sounds and Sonic Edge’s pedals are now available for purchase through the in-app Gear store of the AmpKit 1.2 release. AmpKit can now simulate the sounds of Ben Fargen designed gear on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
There are three Fargen amps available:
- The Fargen Olde 800 model which emulates the iconic sounds of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with it’s “Decade Switch”.
- The Fargen Super Collider model, with dual channel coupling capabilities, allowing for mix of high gain overdrives with full clean tones.
- The Fargen Hot Mod Baby Blues model, which starts with a stock Fender Blues Junior sound with added extras.
Two Sonic Edge pedals designed by Ben Fargen are also available:
- The J&J Overdrive, with it’s versatile tone that ranges from subtle to full tube drive.
- The Tumbleweed, with it’s clean boost having multi tonal modes from Brit, cali to Jazz.
In addition to being available in the AmpKit Gear Store. Fargen and Sonic Edge gear is also available at significant discounts when users purchase the AmpKit 1.2’s new Summer ’11 Pack, where Ben Fargen designed gears are included.
