JamVox III Update

JamVox III, Vox Amp’s amp and effects modeling software, now with new features including Guitar XTraktion III and DAW plugin support.

JamVox III

This new update brings improved performance, better interface, improved DAW plug-in support, Guitar XTraktion III, and a movie recording feature.

JamVox is born again under the name JamVox III, available for both Mac and Windows. This stand alone software still comes with the same Vox amp and effect modeling technology – with 19 amp models, 12 speaker cabinets and 57 effect models. The new version improves on the jamming and practice side of the software, making it even more convenient and enjoyable to use.

The GXT III Enhanced Guitar XTraktion feature has been greatly improved, making it even easier to cancel or isolate specific tracks or instruments. This is the main focal point of the JamVox III update. The new GXT III engine analyzes songs extensively – and can work with songs that until now were difficult to work with. The engine has been tuned to obtain a more natural tonal character, and now you can use the JamVOX-Online site to search and download GXT III settings shared by other JamVOX users for a specific song.

The Improved User Interface now makes it easier to learn songs by ear, to practice and to simply jam. The screen resolution has been improved as well with full screen capability. The music player shows the waveform of the song, providing a clear, visual indication of the song’s development and structure. You can zoom in on the playback position to practice that amazing solo, or set up the repeated playback of the bridge or chorus that you’re practicing.

The new Movie Recording Feature lets you use your computer’s webcam to record yourself live for instant evaluation of your playing. Capture your guitar playing and review your own performance to improve your guitar playing skills. You can also upload your performance for the world to see. The features and functionality is simplistic and is designed specifically with guitarists in mind.

JamVox III is scheduled for an early April 2012 release and a special introductory price of $49.99 is announced. Regular price is expected to be at $99.99.
