Steve Vai TonePrint

TC Electronic continues to assimilate big name artists into their TonePrint collective, adding guitar virtuoso Steve Vai to their impressive list.

Vai contributes a TonePrint for the Hall Of Fame Reverb pedal with the name “Ocean Machine”.

The Ocean Machine TonePrint was designed by Steve Vai himself at his famous Harmony hut studio. All the parameters and EQ settings were selected by Vai with the assistance of resident TonePrint pedal guru Tore Mogensen.

Bits of the creative process behind the TonePrint was captured on video, showcasing Vai’s impression of the TonePrint technology, and his detailed approach to setting the parameters. The video is rounded off with Vai making music using his new signature patch.

Quoting TC Electronic: “This TonePrint has a very nice wide wash with a mellow bite and plenty of shine for your own tone. A bit introspective and slowly ebbing and flowing.” They further described Ocean Machine as a very natural sounding reverb, with a bit of chorus.

In line with this new collaboration, TC Electronic will be giving away a Hall Of Fame Reverb pedal signed by Vai. And winning is as easy as liking the TC Electronic Facebook page before July 2, 2013.

The Steve Vai signature TonePrint is now available free of charge via the TC Electronic website, or through the free TonePrint app for iOS and Android phones and tablets.
