Stockholm will host its annual major summer jazz festival on Skeppsholmen Island near the King's Palace and Gamla Stan. This summer, the six day musical experience will host world renowned artists such as: Herbie Hancock Septet, Al Jarreau, McCoy Tyner Trio, Dr. John, Joe Lovano's "Trio Fascination", Toots Thielemans Swedish Quartet, Mark Isham Group, Mingus Big Band, Suzanne Vega, Tim Hagans' Animation-Imagination", Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames, Kool & the Gang, The Jeff Healey Band, Nicholas Payton Big Band, "Trumpet Summit" featuring Jon Faddis, Randy Brecker, Lew Soloff & Cedar Walton, Nisse Landgren's Funk Unit with many great Swedish stars and several other artists to be announced shortly.
