NAPSTER AGAIN... HO, HUM! Like the Watergate scandal back in the 70s, the Napster issue might seem boring after a while - but is highly significant. This is a test case for the future of digital downloads and the whole music industry... NAPSTER AND ITS USERS NOT VIOLATING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT LAWS June 21, 2000 - The majority of online consumers don't believe Napster, or its users, are guilty of copyright infringement, according to a new survey from InsightExpress, the world's first fully-automated, online market research service. Reaction to the lawsuit filed by the Recording Industry Association of America against Napster - the Internet software community that allows music fans to swap and download music for free -- was contingent upon the respondent's relationship with Napster and similar download sites: the greater the use the more avid the support of the technology.
