NAPSTER AGAIN... HO, HUM!

Like the Watergate scandal back in the 70s, the Napster issue might seem boring after a while - but is highly significant. This is a test case for the future of digital downloads and the whole music industry...

NAPSTER AND ITS USERS NOT VIOLATING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT LAWS

June 21, 2000 - The majority of online consumers don't believe Napster, or its users, are guilty of copyright infringement, according to a new survey from InsightExpress, the world's first fully-automated, online market research service. And for the record, for those of you who weren't even born then, and don't know your history... this is what Watergate was about:
During the night of June 17, 1972, five burglars broke into the offices of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate office complex in Washington, DC. Investigation into the break-in exposed a trail of abuses that led to the highest levels of the Nixon administration and ultimately to the President himself. President Nixon resigned from office under threat of impeachment on August 9, 1974.
