The Zed Project was launched last Wednesday night at efaktor live! - Paddo Tavern, with three exciting original Briz Bands playing some incredibly new innovative music. The three bands kicking off the Zed Project, a 4zZz, Ellaways Music and Time OFF run event, were DRIVE, PLATFORM SIX and PROJECT WINTERHAVEN. They played live as part of an eight week search for Brisbane's band of the moment, who will not only be the opening act at 4zZz's 25th Anniversary gig in December, but will also receive five days recording at Brisbane's Premier studio's, SUNSHINE STUDIOS with a FIVE track CD to be marketed and distributed through PHANTOM RECORDS, Sydney.

A fantastic "leg up" into the "real world" of the music biz. The thirty two (32) bands have been chosen from CD/tape entries and will play live every Wednesday night at the Paddo Tavern, Brisbane, four per night, up to and including 27 September. A final four bands will be chosen to perform in early November and will also all receive a good supply of guitar and bass strings from our friendly sponsors at DR strings. From that night one band/act will be "the chosen one". Bands playing for the next two weeks have been announced.
