The MP3 Music Revolution is going strong. The MP3 Music File has definitely brought about a Revolution that is still in progress, and will continue for many years.

How are Guitar Players affected by the Online MP3 Revolution? Guitar Players are Recording their songs on Computers, using Multi Track Programs, then converting their WAV Music Files to MP3 files and posting them on the internet for the world to hear and download. Many Guitar Players are earning a large amount of money from their music being played on the internet. And many more Guitar Players are selling CDs via the internet, CDs that the Guitarists themselves Recorded on their Computer. A Guitar Player can now Record his own music on a computer, Burn his own CD, and sell them on the Internet, and at Gigs where they perform. And there are companies that one Can hire to sell the CD. I know of one Group who has sold a few thousand CDs through such a Sales Agency.. Naturally Many Guitars, and related Music Equipment, is being purchased via the internet.

The average Guitar Player, and the group he/she is in, can now record their own music, avoiding the tens of thousands of dollars that it cost to go into a Studio to Record. The Guitar and Band can Grow and Develop from Recording their own CDs, and marketing their music on the Internet via the MP3 Format.

A Guitar Player and his band can post their Recorded Music to the internet and increase their popularity, getting better jobs. The Guitar Players and the band can promote their Bands Through the many Web Sites where MP3 Music Can be posted. This is a great benefit to the Guitar Player and all Musicians.

The MP3 Revolution is benefiting the Fans as well as the musicians. Where would Musicians be without fans. So the fans can now hear their Favorite Music via the Internet and the MP3 File Format. For the Fans, The MP3 Revolution has produced many Web Sites where Music Can Be downloaded Free, and there are an incredible amount of internet radio stations where one can hear their favorite music. There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of Internet Radio Stations. The Music on Internet radio is for the most part delivered via the MP3 Music Format.

You can listen to about any Commercial Radio Station in the World, via the Internet, and get a live feed in most cases. This is truly amazing.

Internet TV Stations will soon be common., already you can get a live feed from CNN. And the time will come as broadband gets more common that anything you watch on Broadcast TV, you can watch using your computer and the internet. This is all possible because of the Mpeg Video Compression.

There are those who say the Mpeg File, both audio and video, will completely change the way we listen to music, and purchase music. Already the Internet Sales of Music is great. Billboard Magazine now has Charts on music sales just on the Internet. The movement is starting to grow Fast.

Hundreds of Millions of Dollars are being put into the Delivery of Music and Video on the Internet. Perhaps the Amount being invested has already reached the Billions of Dollars mark, and the industry is just in it's infancy, its' still a Baby.

MP3 Music has stimulated a greater interest in Recorded Music. Since MP3 Music Became well known and very popular, the commercial Recording Industry has seen an increase in CD Sales of over One Billion Dollars, no small amount in anyone's book.

Prior to the MP3 File coming into being, it was near impossible for Music to be delivered via the Internet. The WAV file is simply too large to be delivered as a download. Now many large Recording Companies are delivering music online and for a very nice price.

The Large Recording Companies were the last ones to realize that the MP3 File was a way to deliver their music to people all over the world. Napster and many more Web Sites that offered individuals the ability to Swap Music over the Internet woke up the Recording Company Executives fast. Many Law suits are now underway against the MP3 Music Swapping Web Sites. The Music Swapping Web Sites and the Record Companies are having it out in Court. The Legal system will in the end bring an end to the most controversial thing that has ever happened in Music. Most people think that after all the Court Battles are finished, there will be Music Swapping Services where those that use the Web Site pay a fee, and so the Record Companies, Publishers and Song Writers, will get Royalties when their music is swapped over the Internet. But what will be the outcome of this Controversial Method of Distributing Music is yet to be seen.

In the beginning, a few computer Geeks saw the Possibility of marketing Music by download over the internet. Long Before MP3 COM became popular there were a few Web Sites that sold individual songs by download in both the MP3 and Real Audio Formats. These MP3 Sales Web Sites were pretty well unknown to the Average person on the Internet. Only the most knowing people who were computer and internet savvy were aware that music was for sale in download from the web sites who had began marketing Mostly older and obscure music via download. Web sites that marketed the Music of Unsigned Musicians were springing up on the internet at that time also. The MP3 Music Revolution was in it's earliest stage, but the movement was large enough to get those who really knew the Internet thinking about the possibility of the New File Compression Format Called MP3. I doubt that anyone expected the MP3 Revolution to take off and change the world of music when there were just a few Web Sites that were selling downloads.

Though there are many MP3 Music sites where musicians can post their recorded music to be heard by the world, MP3 COM is by Far the Largest and Most Successful. A Young Business Executive named Michael Robertson put the MP3 Revolution in High Gear when he founded www.mp3.com offering all musicians a way to get their music heard by the world via the internet. The MP3 COM web site was the Catalyst that made the MP3 Revolution take off, of this there can be no doubt.

MP3 COM now has 700,000 songs posted for listen and download. This is 7 times as many songs as was on the web site a year ago. In November of 1999, MP3 COM Started their Payback Program. Artists started earning Royalties for their listens and downloads on the Web Site. In May of 2000 MP3 COM increased the Payback Money to one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) a month and MP3 COM took off like a rocket.

With the MP3 COM Payback Program the Web Site has become of source of income for many Guitarists and Musicians all over the World.

303 Infinity is a MP3 COM Artist that has had over 4 million listens/downloads, and sold a tremendous amount of CDs. His Total Earnings on MP3 COM as of this date 11/26/2000 is $163,641.78.

I'm sure that the Pop Rock Guitarists are doing Quite Well on MP3 COM. All Guitarists do great on MP3 COM, much better than in the Commercial Music World.

Any MP3 COM Artists who has earned more than $20,000.00 in the last year has songs that have staying power when they hit the Charts and Make #1. At the very height of their popularity any Artists who has earned more than $20,000.00 will usually have had many songs at the top of the charts in their Genres. And as time goes by their songs remain very popular. Songs with Staying Power, songs that never die, is the secret of success in staying popular on MP3 COM. The high Payback Earners on MP3 COM are usually adding new songs to their catalog all the time. This is really no different than in the commercial music world, for any artists who stays popular must continually record new songs that are loved.

Anyone who has had $8000.00 in Payback on MP3 COM has at one time or other had their songs become very Popular on the Web Site. I have had Songs on the MP3 COM Top 40 charts in their Genre since October 1, 1999, the day after I posted my First Songs To MP3 COM. In July my songs became very popular. During July and August of 2000 I had four songs make the #1 position on the MP3 COM Charts in their Genres. While I had songs in the #1 Chart Positions there were days I earned over $100.00 a day in Payback and my MP3 COM CD Sales went up. This is a big thrill to say the least.

I'm a Country and Blues Guitarists who has earned $9,800.06 from over 275,000 listens/downloads, plus my commission on CD sales, during the year that MP3 COM has had the Playback Program going. There are times when I can hardly believe it all has happened. My CDs have been Purchased by People in France, Austria, England, Australia, Canada and all over the United States including Alaska. This is pretty amazing to me. I recorded a couple of songs in the past and tried to market them in the commercial Music Market and had Little Success. MP3 COM, and the other MP3 Web Sites can get a Musician Heard all over the world, and this is truly amazing.

My MP3 COM Web Page Address is:

Putting your songs on MP3 COM stretches you as a musician. You try hard to write and record songs that will become MP3 COM Hits,; this is a new experience for those who have never had their Recordings marketed to the world.

Michael Robertson, the CEO of MP3 COM is a very Creative Manager and he has assembled a great group of workers who are continually doing new things to give Music Lovers what they desire. Their can be no doubt that MP3 COM will always be expanding it's services.

MP3 COM was sued by all the Record Labels for his MyMP3 COM program that allowed people to listen to the CDs they had purchased, and listen to their music using the internet from any laceration in the world by way of The MyMP3 Program on The MP3 COM Web Site. The Record Companies won the legal Battle and MP3 COM has paid out millions of dollars to reach an agreement with all the Major Record Labels to continue his MyMP3 COM feature. So now MyMP3 COM can go ahead and deliver music to the world.

The MP3 Revolution Continues. I don't think anyone in their wildest imagination can know where the MP3 Music Revolution will take us. New innovations in MP3 Music Appear almost daily. The Guitar Player can achieve greater success with their music now that the Online MP3 Revolution is taking them to new and higher ground.
