FRANKSTON GUITAR FESTIVAL
http://guitar.frankston.vic.gov.au/ The Frankston International Guitar Festival is now gearing up for the 5th spectacular year. Once again the finest players from around the world will be heading to town to strut their stuff and showcase their skills. The 2000 event saw 60 programmed acts, over 150 musicians at 7 programmed venues play to an audience exceeding 12000*. Manufacturers and retailers enjoyed huge crowds at the Guitar Expo with 6400 through the turnstiles and traders still enjoying follow up sales months after the event. New products and instruments from around the globe were on display with sales topping everyone's expectations. We'll soon we'll be announcing the line-up of Guitar Masters from every genre, including the Special Guest Artists coming to the only festival celebrating every aspect of the guitar from manufacture to performance in the Southern Hemisphere. The Council and residents of the City of Frankston are right behind this major event. FGF is now a highlight on the list of Australian Festivals.
