THE FRIDAY NIGHT BLUES
by Andrew Saul
Pyramid Strings Contest Winner

What can I say? I love playing the guitar, but tone makes a difference. I used to buy the cheapest strings in the store. I would say to myself, "Strings are strings." Not True. None the less, I used to not change them for at least a year at a time. A friend recently told me about Pyramid Strings. He said they were "the pick of the litter." I got home and checked my email and sure enough there was a contest to win PYRAMID STRINGS! Yes! This was my chance.

"The Friday Night Blues"
It's Friday night and I'm feelin' really down.
I pull out my guitar to quench my frown.
But to my surprise, what do I hear?
Just noises of cacophony, right in my ear.
I get in my car and drive to the store.
But, all they had was Elixer, by Gore.
I told the man at the counter my trouble.
He pulled out a box, wrapped all up in bubbles.
"Pyramid Strings!" he said, "That'll do the trick."
I bought two and home I flew.
Popped on the new strings and gave 'em a try.
Boy, were those strings like warm apple pie.
