Here's a short tip on how to improve your guitar playing:

After practicing, always put your guitar on a guitar stand and not in the guitar case. This makes it easier to just pick it up and start practicing again: do some licks, improve finger dexterty etc.

NEWS REGARDING CD FOR HEIFER PROJECT
In recent months, I have been working with a bunch of crack guitarists from around the world to compile a CD that will be sold to benefit the Heifer Project http://www.heifer.org/

The team thus far is impressive, and includes Perf De Castro of the Philippines, Dave Bates of Hollywood, CA, French guitarist Francisco Mestre, bassist Paul Burgess of Australia -- plus the prospect of some cuts from Heritage Guitars artist Bob Balsley. There will also be cuts contributed by my guitar guru, Jim Crimmins.

NEWSFLASH
Today, I got the nod from Philip Toshio Sudo, author of the book ZEN GUITAR. Many of those involved in this project have books out, most notably Dave Bates, Bob Balsley, myself and Jim Crimmins. But Philip's book is sold through general bookstores, while the rest of us languish in musical instrument stores and on amazon.com. Philip's involvement will be a real key element -- and from my correspondence with him, I can classify him as a fine human being.
