SEVEN STRING GUY by Guy Pople, our 7 String Guy! http://www.7string.org/ CHANGING YOUR CHORDS BASS NOTES [part 2] This week's examples are for 7B tuners-7A dudes wind a tone down and join in.... I have chosen the Em and D chords as an example. Keep your 2nd, 3rd & 4th fingers firmly planted and move your 1st finger to the new bass notes- feel the stretch. Remember, if you'd like to give chords fresh bass notes you only have to goto the scale with the same name as the chord, write down the scale's notes and substitute them in place of the existing chord's bass note....bear in mind that the scale options are just the most likely candidates- experiments will produce the most interesting chord voices.. Recommended listening: Eva Cassidy's Songbird album & 'Cosmic Sea' by Death
