BYE BYE TED Australian 70s rock icon Ted Mulry died after a battle with cancer last week. The Ted Mulry Gang was one of Australia's longest running bands. Ted formed the band in 1972. The other two members were Les Hall and Herman Kovacs. Mulry had already scored hits in 1970 and 1971 with the songs 'Julia' and 'Falling In Love Again'. The TMG really took off with the release of the 'Jump In My Car' single. Other hits include 'Dark Town Strutters Ball', 'Crazy' and 'Jamaica Rum'. Ted's last public appearance was side of stage at the Gimme Ted benefit held in March, 2001. Many stars of the Australian Music Industry performed over two nights raising over $170,000 for Ted.
