Announcing: WALKING THE RHYTHM SERIES
A new series of hands-on how-to's illustrating "walking
rhythm guitar"--that is, how to simultaneously play a
walking bass line with punctuating chords.
"If you ever have to accompany a soloist, or another
guitarist, knowing how to play a walking rhythm part,
instead of just strumming chords, will make you sound like a
whole band. In essence, a walking rhythm guitar part divides
up the beats so that the guitarist has time to play both the
bass line and the chord punches," said composer and
performer Robert "Colin" Johnson.
