OTIS HONORED Otis Redding has been honored in his hometown with a 7-foot tall statue that shows him playing his guitar. There's a lot more to him than the classic '(Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay'. He dropped out of high school and worked with Little Richard's former band, the Upsetters. He competed in local talent shows but was no longer allowed to after winning 15 in a row. And that's just the start of it. Check out the Otis recordings from the Monterey International Pop Festival for a great slab of live soul, complete with an R&B band that cooks!
