GEORGE HARRISON'S BRAINWASHED While this will undoubtably not be the last George Harrison album, 'Brainwashed' features 12 new songs from The Beatles' guitarist. While Harrison died before the album could be completed, Jeff Lynne and son Dhani Harrison finished off the production duties. "I think people are expecting a half-weak, sick person's album that was just thrown together by an estate to cash in on some money or something," said Dhani Harrison. So far, the album reviews have been positive. Some in the music industry were pessimistic about the concept of the release, given that Harrison's remake of 'My Sweet Lord' in 2000 suffered from weak vocals. And then there were the two Beatles tracks 'Real Love' and 'Free As A Bird' which sounded a lot like The Beatles trying to sound like The Beatles. Read this story and check out this site. |
