RIDE'S PSYCHEDELIC HIGH

Ride were one of British pop's great young hopes in the early 1990s. With feedback, volume and amazing guitar effects, they made headlines with epic tracks such as 'Chelsea Girl'. But as grunge and metal rose in prominence during the mid-1990s, the band started to lose profile. But not before releasing the psychedelic "Carnival of Light" album in 1994. While the album basically stiffed, it was an artistic highlight for the band. Ride broke up and guitarist Andy Bell ultimately joined Oasis on bass.
