I CAN'T GET NO... It was early May, 1965, and Keith Richards was dozing of in his hotel room in Clearwater, Florida. He suddenly woke up with the riff in his head and committed it to tape. Then he went back to sleep. "You can hear me drop the pick and the rest of the tape is me snoring," he said. "The only way I found it again was, the next morning I checked out my gear, and the tape was at the wrong end. It had played all the way through." There seems to be some confusion as to the date of the genesis of this song. May 6, 7 and 9 are quoted as the date of Keith's discovery. Anyone out there got the final word of this? Link: |
