INTOMUSIC SUPPORT INDIE MUSICIANS UK site www.IntoMusic.co.uk is an independent music site set-up by maverick musician and web developer, Gavin Molton. It offers a wide range of different music from ‘Acoustic’ through to ‘Dance Experimental’ and more, these are chosen from submissions and then reviewed on the site. The artists get paid 50% of every sale, which should make people feel good that they are compensating and supporting the musicians. The idea is to also bring a magazine element with entertaining reviews of the music available. Unique to IntoMusic.co.uk is a Credits System. Users buy credits, from 5 to 20, which will allow them to download further tracks with burn and transfer capabilities. This offers good value, because the more credits you buy the cheaper each track will cost. The average price is 50p or approximately 79 cents, there is the option preview all the tracks first by streaming them. Gavin the founder explains - “It’s rather like a pay and go phone card, you pay for your credits in advance, which are then stored in the your account and as you browse the site and pick the songs you want to download, credits are automatically deducted from your account. It takes the hassle out of paying per track and people can use the credits immediately or whenever they want in the future.” Also there is a subscription system which allows unlimited downloads and burns for £3.95 per month or approx. $6.20 per month.” “I think there’s a lack of good UK sites for downloading and discovering new music, IntoMusic.co.uk is the antidote to the current dearth of anything interesting going on in the mainstream music industry.” Web site: www.intomusic.co.uk |
