GUITARPORT 2 OPENS GuitarPort 2.0 Opens Interactive World For PODXT And GuitarPort Owners Line 6, inventors of digital modeling amps and guitars, announced today the release of a significant update to its GuitarPort software, GuitarPort 2.0. GuitarPort 2.0 introduces major enhancements to the GuitarPort software for all existing GuitarPort users and opens the GuitarPort Online service to owners of PODXT and PODXT Pro. GuitarPort, and now PODXT and PODXT Pro, are the exclusive portals to an entirely new musical experience designed for guitar enthusiasts of all levels. Line 6 has created GuitarPort Online as a membership program that provides the ability to learn and jam with hundreds of songs and guitar lessons. For GuitarPort owners, the new software replaces the original GuitarPort amp, cab and effect models with an expanded set of models based on the premium tone found in PODXT -- including 15 amp models, 14 cab models, 4 mic models and 22 routable effect models. For PODXT and PODXT Pro owners, the GuitarPort software now functions as a fully functioning Editor/Librarian. Now compelling and intuitive graphics allow users to see and control every aspect of the amp, cab and effects sound right on their computer screen and organize banks of tones on their hard drive. "GuitarPort 2.0 is the best way for any guitarist to get better and gain control of their sound," said Mark McCrite, product manager, Line 6. "Whether you have a GuitarPort, a PODXT or a PODXT Pro, you can now experience the best tone Line 6 has to offer and the amazing interactive world of GuitarPort Online." |
