AFRI-CAN GUITARS The AFRI-CAN is a traditional African instrument with a heritage that goes back hundreds of years, further than any other guitar in the world. It uses recycled used oil cans as body and pickup covers, bottle tops as volume and tone controls. The makers claim it has comparable sound quality and playablility to the conventional electric guitars, in many cases even exceeding such models A professional 1960s Custom Castrol GTX left here late August on its way to Ireland destined for Bono. We are hoping he will endorse it as the world's most "Enviromentally Friendly Guitar". Latest news is that Chris Rea has bought an AFRI-CAN guitar from Chandlers in Kew - he bought the personal guitar of the UK distributor Chris Varley who felt it had certainly gone to a good home. You'll be able to see it on Tour with Chris Rea's new album "Stony Road" hitting the shops! Website: http://www.africanguitars.co.uk/ NEXT >>> STEVE ZUWALA >>> |
