MUSIC MAN SUB BASS Rufio Takes to the Stage with Music Man's SUB Bass Soon to hit the road on their first headlining tour this fall, Rufio will take center stage with the recently introduced Music Man SUB bass. "It's very fast and light, which gives me the freedom I need when we play," said Jon Berry, the band's bassist and vocalist. "We feel very good about using Ernie Ball products. They're very reliable and they live up to their reputation," he continued. The band also uses Ernie Ball Slinky strings. While they base their music in the heart of the new punk revolution, Rufio ends the cliche´ there. Their new album MCMLXXXV "1985", released June 2003 on Nitro Records, rings out with an exuberance inspired by their favorite bands of the 1980's. As part of the information generation, Rufio is in touch with their fans electronically -- have pc will travel. Their self-promotion was simple to start, share their music with friends and online in chat rooms. As the band calls it "fan-building through file-sharing." They uncannily tap into the life experiences of their fans, lyrically mirroring the struggles their generation faces, yet with a positive spin. Every night after playing hard the band can be found in their merchandise booth swapping emails and phone numbers with fans, adding to their self-promotion genius. Longtime friends from Rancho Cucamonga, just outside of Los Angeles, band members are; Jon Berry, bass/vocals, Clark Domae, guitar, Mike Jimenez, drums, and Scott Sellers, vocals/guitar. Ernie Ball is a leading innovator of guitar strings. The company was the first to offer rock strings with the introduction of Slinkys, and further revolutionized the market by offering guitarists Custom-GaugeŽ single strings. Ernie Ball also produces Music ManŽ guitars and basses, volume pedals and other accessories. Strings and accessories are available in more than 5,500 music stores throughout the US and in 75 countries. Visit their website at www.ernieball.com. |
