HOW NIRVANA RECORDED IN UTERO
In February and March of 1993, Nirvana retreated to Pachyderm Studios, Canon Falls, Minnesota. They booked themselves in as 'The Simon Ritchie Bluegrass Ensemble' and worked with Steve Albini, who was responsible for the early Pixies EPs. No one from the record company or management team visited during the recording sessions. Cobain favored a cheap electric guitar and a broken amplifer.
