FENDER BASS AMPLIFICATION Fender Bass Amplification is proud to announce that it will unveil the new professional 400 PRO HD head and three new PRO Series speaker cabinets at this winter's NAMM show in Anaheim, California. Designed for cutting edge bassists by Fender Bass Amplification's world class team of engineers, the new 400 PRO HD head and PRO Series cabinets offer the pinnacle of quality and sound in a modern bass amplification package. More than two years of research and development have gone into the Fender Bass Amplification PRO Series of bass combo amps and heads, including numerous bench tests with noted professional bass players. The result is a modern line of great sounding bass amplifiers and cabinets that are in tune with the needs of enthusiasts and working pros alike. The latest offering, the 400 PRO HD, is a truly professional level 350w @ 4Ohm (500w @ 2Ohm) head designed to deliver a thick, natural, balanced tone that sits fat in either live situations or in the studio mix. The 400 PRO HD has the power to easily handle club level gigs, and it provides plenty of "tweakability" without being confusing to use. "The 400 PRO HD is ideal for bassists looking for a high quality tone in a medium-powered format," states Jay Piccirillo, Marketing Manager for Fender Bass Amplification. "The 400 PRO HD has the same front end feature set as our flagship 800 PRO head, in a package that reduces the power and the price tag." The 400 PRO HD feature set includes a Five-band EQ (including a Three-Band Semi-Parametric EQ with Gain Control and On/Off switch) an easy to use adjustable Compressor and an Enhance switch which emphasizes highs and lows. The Balanced XLR line out comes complete with a Ground Lift, Line Out Level and a Pre/Post EQ switch. The Mute switch disables all outputs except the Tuner send. A One-button footswitch that enables/disables the Three-Band Semi-Parametric EQ is included. Dimensions: H: 7", W: 23", D: 15 1/2". Weight: 42 lbs. US MSRP is $828.55. New Fender PRO Series bass cabinets for 2004 include the 210 PRO, the 115 PRO and the 115 PRO EXT. Each has Fender Special Design Eminence cast-frame drivers (in either a 2x10 or 1x15 configuration) and a compression horn driver. Cosmetic treatment includes black carpet covering, stacking corners, metal grille and removable casters. Each feature a back plate with 1/4", Speakon and banana plug inputs, which make them compatible with most any system. "It was important to us that the 210 PRO and 115 PRO cabinets function as powerful and articulate stand alone cabinets," says Jay Piccirillo. "Of course, pairing the two together with a 400 PRO HD head makes for quite an incredible sounding rig that has to be experienced to be believed!" The 115 PRO EXT is a 4 Ohm extension cabinet targeted at owners of higher powered combo bass amplifiers that can benefit from an extension cabinet. "With the incredible success of the 400 PRO combo, many bass players have asked us for a 15" cabinet to compliment the internal 10" speakers," says Piccirillo. "The 115 PRO EXT delivers low end power and clarity that really takes the 400 PRO combo to another level."
