ERNIE BALL'S FREAKY AUCTION
Ernie Ball will auction off a Music Man Luke Guitar played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the Disney Blockbuster "Freaky Friday.” The auction will begin on eBay December 16 and will coincide with the movie’s release on DVD. The guitar sports the signatures of many members of the movie’s cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, and Mark Harmon. It will also come with a photograph of the cast holding the signed guitar, the metal-riveted guitar strap from the movie, a Music Man hardshell case and a Music Man t-shirt. Grammy award winner Steve Lukather of Toto and the Music Man R & D team designed the Luke. Made of alder wood for superior resonance, the sleek new body is sculpted to provide the utmost in balance and performance. The oil-finished neck has a prominent "V" shaped profile. 100% of the proceeds of this auction benefit the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. This non-profit organization works for the advancement of pediatric kidney research. Casey Lee Ball, third son of Sterling Ball, was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease at age two. At age five, while Casey and Sterling were recuperating from kidney transplant surgery, they decided to create the Casey Lee Ball Foundation. As a result of their timeless efforts over the last six years, several new medicines have made it to the market in record time and are helping to reduce the side effects of kidney transplant medications.
