HELP JON OUT I am writing you to request your expert advise, so please take a couple of minutes to think this over before replying to my mail... I am a young promising songwriter from Norway. This weekend I will be out looking to buy a new acoustic (with electrical output, maybe ) guitar. It will be my first really good guitar, and I don't want to end up spending my savings on the wrong guitar. This is where I need your opinion. I will use this guitar to: Improve my playing skills, Write great songs, perform on very small stages, and simply just strum a chord and fall in love with the sound over and over again. I need the sound of the guitar to inspire me as a musician. My budget: 2.000 $ ( 14000 NOK ) Guitar type: Metal string, Acoustic (el-output) I will try to explain how I want the sound of the Guitar to feel: Melodic, Harmonic, Clean, Deep, Strong I need the guitar to sound great in picking as well as strumming and acoustic solos. About me: I play mostly modern rock and new metal, and I enjoy writing complicated guitar riffs as well as simpler guitar riffs suited for completion by a beautiful melody. I have a good, rough but clean voice and I go from pretty low to pretty high. I have medium + + sized hands. ( May help you consider what fret-width I should have ) My inspirations: Staind, Nickelback, Chevelle, Sevendust, Creed, Lifehouse, Matchbox Twenty, A Perfect Circle, Hoobastank, The Calling, Eric Clapton,Korn, Tone Temple Pilots, Faith No More and Soundgarden. I will be forever grateful if you would be so kind as to advise me on which guitar I should purchase ( whatever manufacturer ) , based on the information I have written above about what I am searching for. With hope of a helpful answer,
Sincerely |
