EPIPHONE GETS AGGRESSIVE

Epiphone gets aggressive with new Wayne Static signature guitar

Wayne Static, lead guitarist for the techno-industrial group Static-X, injects his raw, aggressive attitude into the Epiphone line with a new signature model. Like Static's music, the Wayne Static Signature Flying V takes the electric guitar down to its basic elements, with simplified electronic controls and a Plain Black finish (the official finish color).

"Wayne Static cuts a new path for guitarists with his no-frills attitude," said Jim "Epi" Rosenberg, president of Epiphone. "And that attitude is embodied in Wayne's signature guitar."

The Epiphone Wayne Static Signature Flying V has the body shape and styling, complete with V-shaped string-anchor plate and "arrowhead" headstock, that rocked the guitar world when Gibson introduced it in 1958. Special features on the Static model include a single volume control and one toggle switch for the two Epiphone USA pickups, no pickguard, Ebonal fingerboard with no inlays, black hardware, Plain Black satin finish and the Static-X logo on the headstock. MSRP: $832.

Epiphone fretted instruments, amplifiers, strings and accessories are known worldwide for offering the best combination of quality and value. A division of Gibson since 1957, Epiphone is headquartered in Nashville. For more information visit www.epiphone.com.
