ASK EDLY http://www.edly.com/ hi i haven't taken music theory since high school and my former teacher has emailed me with a question i should know how to answer but i can't remember. PLEASE help me! what does it mean when you double the 3rd? gratefully, susie If you have a triad (3 note) but for voices (or strings or fingers), you have to 'double' one note. In a major chord, generically speaking, 1st choice is the root, 2nd is the fifth, and 3rd is the third. Got it? What is it with people's shift keys being broken these days? Edly |
