BOBBY FULLER Bobby Fuller peaked with a cover of The Cricket's "I Fought The Law". His love of roots rock and roll which harked back to Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran might have been confusing to some during the folk-psychedelia phase of the mid-1960s, but the top ten success of "I Fought The Law" found him getting his fifteen minutes of fame. His 1966 death was ruled a suicide, but many clues point to a murder. While the crashing guitar-heavy Clash rendition of "I Fought The Law" may be better known by many, Fuller set the template up for others to follow.
