ROBERT JOHNSON'S SON Bluesman Robert Johnson's estate grew was sought after by all manner of alleged heirs in the 1990s, following the success of a Sony boxed set and legal battles over the rights to Johnson's songbook. The rightful heir is a retired trucker who moved gravel for a living. He managed to prove he was the illegitimate son of Robert Johnson after two trips to the Mississippi Supreme Court and two trips to the U.S. Supreme Court. The legal process took ten years. Claud Johnson is finally enjoying the fruits of the legendary Robert Johnson's estate, and taking stock of a father he never knew.
