SHOULD ARTISTS CAMPAIGN? The grumbling began as soon as the Boss said he would, for the first time, stump for a presidential candidate. "This is a sad day for me," a fan wrote on the Bruce Springsteen internet newsgroup. "After 25 years as a hardcore Bruce fan, I'm officially done with him." Read On With the US election looking like one of the more controversial and hard-fought campaigns in decades, many popular musicians have decided to publicly throw announce their political leanings. How do you you feel about your favourite bands and musicians throwing their $0.02 into the ring and campaigning on behalf of a presidential candidate? Are musicians 'qualified' to make comments on political issues and leaders?
