GUITAR MAN ACOUSTIC GUITAR TIPS Acoustic Day-to-Day Resource http://www.guitartips.addr.com/
Question: Is it possible to lower the action of my guitar and if so how? The strings on my guitar sit so high off of the fret board that I can hardly play the thing. I would appriciate any ideas. Answer: Lowering the action on an acoustic guitar is not an expensive repair but it DOES need to be done by someone with experience. Try to find a good repairman in your area. He will probably lower the saddle a little or maybe the nut, then he'll adjust the truss rod properly if there is one. Also have him check the intonation. You won't believe the difference!
