Melbourne Lord Mayor John So opened ACDC Lane to bagpipes playing the Acca-Dacca classic 'Long Way to the Top'.

ACDC Lane is parallel with Swanston Street, where the video clip to Long Way to the Top was made, and is near the band's Melbourne musical home, Berties.

"As the song says, this is a highway to hell. But I say this is a lane to heaven. Let us rock," Cr So said.

Multiple copies of the sign have been made as fans are expected to steal the laneway's sign.
