Green felt

Green felt is definitely cool stuff. I found it at my local hardware store. The peel-off self stick backing makes it easy to apply as well. Cut it to fit, peel off backing, and stick it on. I made a guitar stand/barstool and used it to cover the neck yoke and support pegs so the guitar wouldn't get scratched.

Other good uses are to cover the neck support yoke in a cheap guitar case for extra padding and on guitar stands that have questionable rubber for supporting places that may react with the lacquer finish. Put the felt over the rubber.
