HENDRIX REIGNS SUPREME AMONG PRO "GUITAR FACES"

Mag Rack's "Guitar Express" asked both their esteemed judges and thousands of passionate fans from around the world to cast their vote for their favorite pro guitar facer at Mag Rack's website, www.magrack.com.

The winner, according to the 3,000+ votes cast, was Jimi Hendrix. The late, great axe man who revolutionized the possibilities for the electric guitar ran away with 24% of the total tally. One of his greatest inspirations, blues master B.B. King, captured second place with 18% of the vote, followed by Aussie heavy metal maestro Angus Young of AC/DC with 16%.

Mag Rack's exploration of guitar face went deeper, asking the stars and music fans to give the cause of guitar face and the particular brand they get or like best.

According to the survey, 67% think it comes from "the ecstasy of hitting the perfect note or power chord, Twenty-five percent thought it was from the desire to "prove you feel the music even if you can't play a note." Only 7% said guitar face comes from "the agony of missing a note or chord."

When it comes to the kind of guitar face they get, the winner was "Screaming Metal Grimace" (29%). This was followed by "Deep-Dish Chicago-Styled Blues Twitch" (24%), "English Guitar Hero Pout & Pucker" (15%), "CBGB Mock-Elvis Punk-O-Rama Sneer" (7%), "Soulful Emo Frown & Tear" (7%), "Seattle Mope & Grunge" (6%) and "Haight Asbury Hippie Navel Gaze (4%).
