2 - PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING TABS?
Web design for different browsers (Netscape/IE), different versions (3/4) & different platforms (PC/Mac), is always a challenge! For sound files, the variety of plug-ins visitors to the site may, or may not have, gives them a different experience.
(BTW, a plug-in is freely dowloadable software that extends the functionality of your browser, e.g. plug-ins for Flash/Shockwave, RealMedia, Crescendo, etc - see the following for more details:)
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~guitar/sounds.htm
The same applies to the humble TAB file. This is just text, best viewed in a single-spaced font, such as courier.
Viewed in proportional fonts, such as Times Roman or Arial, the formatting is lost.
TABs can be saved as .htm, .txt, .tab, .btab or even .doc files, but are basically just text that can be opened in a text editor (Notepad, Wordpad, Word), special TAB editor (see the following for TAB software:) or in the browser.
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~guitar/tab.htm#TAB start
(bottom left of page)
Netscape seems to handle them better than IE. If you can't see or download TABs in IE, try viewing the source & cut & paste from there, or save as a text file: songname.txt, or view through Netscape :)

more can you ask for!!?! Maybe this will be the substitute for OLGA in the future? Visit them at http://freshtabs.hypermart.net

5 - THINK LATERALLY
From: Kirk Lorange lorange@kirk.net
Read all of Kirk’s great Newsletter Articles:
http://www.GuitarSite.com/tuition.htm#articles
Here’s a good tip for adding dimension to your soloing:
think laterally. By that I mean look for new ways of
approaching the ‘chord of the moment’. What ever that chord might be, it’s setting the rules, within the context of the key you're playing in.
For simplicity sake, lets say that chord is an A. Play an
open A chord. Now play an F#minor chord. Now play a D Major
with an F# on the fourth string. Notice the similarities. Each contains the A and C# notes. The F# minor is like an A6
chord, so is the D Major, and vice versa. They’re all related.
Now, when you’re looking for melodic possibilities over an A
chord, think A, of course, but also think F#minor (the
relative minor of A) and allow yourself to think DMajor7.
You’ll find that even though the individual notes involved
are the same, your approach will differ if you’re thinking minor or Major. Look at these chords in all positions and experiment.
Naturally, learn these relationships in all keys. You should
instantly know the relative minor of all major chords, and
‘see’ the "IV chord Major’.
If you are still searching for that elusive guide to the
fret board, something you can track all of these relationships against, and a plain English explanation of how music hinges
together, come and read about my book PlaneTalk. I wrote it
all about The Trick.
Regards from a rain swept Tamborine Mountain.

6 - PLAY GUITAR
From: "Naftali Lahav play-gtr@internet-zahav.net
Dear Friends,
Please let me associate you with my guitar project,
which I named: "PLAY GUITAR". It is HTML-based, and runs on browsers. I am suggesting a graduated way to learn how to play guitar in an easy and direct way, step by step.
My purpose in Play Guitar on-line method, is to teach ANY ONE that has the willingness to play the guitar.
As a guitar teacher and performer I meet many guitar artists, guitar pupils, or young boys and girls that are yearning to play guitar...I suggest the PLAY GUITAR method. It has everything inside and I supply full e-mail support to the users.
I am looking for sites and Internet communities that are looking for substance! And are interested in having this method on their server!
So, you are invited to see our testing site: (not for public...)

Best wishes,
Naftali Lahav

7 - WHY NOT TRY THE...
"Abzolute Guitar Chord Method"
Hey! Are you interested in complete command of the chords. Yes I mean complete. I have created a superb method. After 20 to 60 minutes of study you can create any chord in a matter of seconds, including all the complex jazz chords - and - you understand them, too. Look at the reviews in leading English music magazines:
"The Only Complete Guitar Chord Method is an easy-to-use yet ingenious method for expanding your chordal vocabulary - it's not just a chord dictionary - it actually helps you to construct and fully understand chord structure"
