WHAT'S HOT FROM DOCTOR AUDIO Arboretum have released the Realizer - the first pro-quality audio enhancer for Internet music listeners. Realizer is being issued as a freely distributed plug-in for the Nullsoft Winamp MP3 player. Are your MP3 sound files missing something? Do you want a richer, deeper bass? Do you want to add more clarity to the sound, enhance the high end, get a wider, more three dimensional stereo impression? The new realizer plug-in may be the answer. Unlike conventional equalizers and bass/treble controls, Realizer actually adds missing low end frequencies and synthesizes new harmonics, restoring much of what is lost to compression. "Millions are using Nullsoft's Winamp to listen to music from the Internet, but MP3 files just don't sound as good as the original CD-quality recordings" said Todd Souvignier, Arboretum Systems Marketing Director. "Moreover, people are often listening on inexpensive, low-quality speakers. We decided to use studio magic -- DSP technology originally designed for recording engineers -- to address these problems and improve the Internet listening experience." Created by Nullsoft of Sedona Arizona, Winamp www.winamp.com is used by more than 15 million Internet high-fidelity audio fans. Arbortetum, maker of high-end audio digital signal processing technologies for professional and consumer markets is located at www.arboretum.com.
