It's been my experience over 20 years of performing and teaching that any person of reasonable fitness can learn to play guitar to a high standard.

On this website I'll show you mental and physical approaches that work and have been tried and tested in performance in all sorts of guitar music, latin, country, jazz, heavy metal and last but not least classical guitar solo and chamber music.

The basic building blocks of a musical vocabulary are explained and demonstrated, print them out and go practice! There will be audio samples of all the examples here soon.

If you want to use any of this material for your own private practice, go ahead. I grant you the right to print out individual copies of the pages for your own use. Teachers who wish to copy any of the material and distribute it to their students.

I'll recommend books I've found useful, and please keep a lookout for the Chamber Music arrangements for guitar coming soon.

There are appreciations and analyses of selected musicians and their recordings. Use the recommended recordings to aid your study of style and to choose repertoire.
